Another year has passed by, so it's time for another countdown guessing game! Methodology of this chart is the same as last year, so it's based on plays on iTunes + iPod. Just like last year, there are some outliers with some songs that are not from 2008, and again the the versions of the songs with the most plays are used for the clues. Good luck! Here are the first clues: www.youshare.com/Guest/4d64247482a319d4.mp3.html102a. Mark Ronson featuring Daniel Merriweather "Stop Me" (Mega248) 102b. M.I.A. "XR2" (halo19)102c. M.I.A. I don't seem to be getting in on the ground floor here. Oh well, there's still a few, maybe. 102q. is probably Beyonce's "Diva." 102p. is definitely Nas featuring Keri Hilson - "Hero" And I totally recognize 102k, but I cannot place it for the life of me. 102g. is probably "Superwoman" by Alicia Keys, though I've never heard it before. ROFL @ the sponsor at the end. ;D

Correct. Well technically, I used the radio edit, but the extended mix also has that part.

ROFL @ the sponsor at the end. ;D And I caught this after I posted, but I didn't want to edit the post where I made my guesses: Intentional or unintentional, the clip could conceivably work as an advertisement for the file-upload site that Sunny is using. "Brought to you by Asian Trix.""Silly wabbit! Trix are for kids!" "You share!" [cracks neck]

Hehe, it was actually Nick who sent me that clip because the site reminded him of the Family Guy quote. I didn't want to take any credit, but yeah, now it's out. That was the first thing that came to mind when I saw Sunny and Ethan were using youshare.com, which I'd never heard of. Had I done my own guessing game and chosen to use youshare.com, I would've saved it for myself, but since Sunny dropped the Family Guy clip at the end of his first set of clues, I made the clip into an mp3 real quickly and offered it to him. It's a very fine line, what Family Guy jokes I find funny these days, being of the opinion that the show definitely jumped the shark when it returned to prime time in 2005, and became so painful to watch that after a season and a half, I eventually stopped tuning in for the new episodes. For instance: Stewie's computer = amusing Asian Trix = hilarious Meg's phone sex with Peter = unfunny and stupid (Sorry, Sunny.) 96e. Linkin Park- "Shadow of the Day" 84l. Kanye West- "I Wonder" Thanks for taking two from me, you jerk. 84c. Madonna "Give It 2 Me" 84a. Coldplay "Viva la Vida"

96d. Chris Brown - "With You" 84j. Against Me! - "Stop!" Correct. 96f. M.I.A. - "World Town" ? Incorrect. 84c. Madonna "Give It 2 Me" 84a. Coldplay "Viva la Vida" Correct. 102k. Robin Thicke - Lost without U Correct. 84e. Coldplay - Viva la Vida Incorrect. It's a very fine line, what Family Guy jokes I find funny these days, being of the opinion that the show definitely jumped the shark when it returned to prime time in 2005, and became so painful to watch that after a season and a half, I eventually stopped tuning in for the new episodes. I kinda disagree. I think what really made the show jump the shark was that it became way too dependent on what made the show good, which were the random flashbacks. It's gotten to the point where there are so many flashbacks that there's barely any real storyline in each episode or that the flashbacks are so random that they don't really make sense in context.

No, I agree with that statement 100%. I guess that, coupled with the fact that the show is deliberately trying to be offensive and gross-out now, instead of stomping all over the line that separates good and bad taste (they're way more interested in being South Park now than they are The Simpsons), is what ultimately forced me to lose interest. However, one joke from the past couple of years I happened to catch and think was very satisfying (in an otherwise god-awful episode) was when the four guys were all sitting around The Drunken Clam talking about TV shows and Cleveland says: "I hate shows that cut away from the story for some bullcrap," and it cuts away to show Hitler juggling fish while riding a unicycle. (But then later on, they revisit that scene, making a point out of it after all.)
